Release Notes 2024-12-09 - 2025-01-12

Published
January 15, 2025

Over the holiday period we have implemented a wide range of enhancements, bug fixes, and new features throughout AmpliFlow.

These updates aim to streamline your workflow, improve usability, and ensure a more secure, reliable experience.

Below is a consolidated summary of everything introduced or fixed during this period.

New features

  • Navigation improvements for custom lists
Users can now place specific custom lists under different navigation nodes (e.g., “HR,” “Senior Management, etc), enabling better organization and easier discovery.
  • “Maintenance” and “IT” navigation nodes
Two new optional navigation categories have been introduced. These nodes remain hidden by default and appear once you assign custom lists to them.
  • Simplified side navigation
The bottom section of the side navigation menu has been compacted to save space on smaller screens.
  • Editable features and permissions settings
The “Others” tab in Tenant Settings has been merged into “Features and Permissions,” providing a single, more straightforward location to configure AmpliFlow for your company.
  • Image uploads in Pages (Beta)
Users can now upload images directly into Pages, expanding the ability to include visual content and documentation throughout the application.

Bug fixes

  • Checklist & metadata updates
Resolved an issue that occasionally disabled the "Save" button on checklist edits. Users can now reliably modify and save checklist details like name, starttime and due-date.
  • “New version available” toast behavior
The update prompt was clarified so that clicking it updates immediately, instead of forcing users to wait 30 seconds for an automatic update.
  • Tooltip visibility and archiving labels
Fixed broken tooltips and improved archived-indicator tooltips to provide clearer context about an item’s status.
  • Stakeholder filter language reset
Switching the stakeholder filter no longer forces the interface back to English when a different language is selected.
  • Broken tooltips on impact gradings
All descriptive tooltips missing for certain impact gradings now display correctly when hovering over them.
  • Teams app on iOS
A major compatibility fix ensures iOS users can continue to use AmpliFlow via Microsoft Teams.
  • Standardized “Add” button text
Various labels like “Add,” “New,” and “Create” are now consistently presented across the application as “Add [Entity],” reducing confusion.
  • 404 or extra login prompts on supplier links
Clicking a supplier reference in the Items list properly navigates users to the supplier’s details page without unnecessary login prompts or blank pages.
  • Purchase order dropdowns
Fixed an issue where dropdown menus in the “New Purchase Order” form could disappear, were compressed in width, or displayed behind other elements.
  • Goals, measurements and KPI fixes
    • Date range accuracy: Corrected graph displays for measurement progress so that only the selected months for the measurement are graphed.
    • Zero/null handling: KPI target values in the future can be reset to null/nothing rather than defaulting to zero.
    • Save button: The save button is now disabled after submission to prevent duplicate saves or glitches.
    • Measurement task readability on mobile: Ensured tasks can be read and interacted with on smaller screens.
  • Barcodes activity
The “Mark as Completed” function now behaves correctly, allowing barcodes-related improvements to be properly completed without front-end failures.
  • Task visibility and management
    • “Tasks” page timeouts: Addressed loading issues that could cause timeouts on /tasks for some users by increasing performance by a few hundred percent.
    • Process chart connections: Fixed a bug that disconnected edges between sub-processes if users deleted certain drafts.
    • Deleting tasks in custom lists: Users can now delete tasks linked to a custom list item without error.
    • Scroll-to-task: Clicking on tasks from the “Tasks”-module scrolls users directly to the relevant task in the checklist when opening.
  • Image handling in custom lists
Photo-related bugs—such as missing thumbnails, errors on upload, or problems during CSV import—have been resolved, ensuring smoother image management.

Improvements & usability

  • Tenant settings and UI streamlining
    • Tenant Settings are streamlined by merging certain tabs, reducing clicks and consolidating important configuration tools in one place.
    • Various pages (e.g., Requirements, Legislation) have improved table layouts and headings, making information clearer at a glance.
  • Enhanced measurement & action plans
    • Better input handling: Improved text fields and numeric inputs to handle decimal and locale-specific formats more gracefully.
    • Layering adjustments in UI: Ensured nested dropdowns and modals render above other elements, eliminating hidden menus.
  • Side navigation & layout
    • Mobile-friendlier layout: Updated structure and spacing in the side menu to accommodate smaller screens.
    • Removed redundant buttons: For example eliminated duplicate “Add Risk” buttons to avoid confusion in process views.
  • Enhanced user feedback & error handling
    • Notification toasts: Clearer, more consistent wording in success or error messages.
    • Checklist modals: Additional clarity in disabling the save button only when genuine errors occur.
