What is a training plan?

An effective way to ensure that your organization develops and retains the necessary skills is to implement training plans. Training plans serve as a systematic and structured method for planning, implementing and following training activities for your employees.

What is included in a training plan?

When creating a training plan, you should include the following information:

  1. Training: Describe the type of training that is planned, including its purpose, objectives and content.
  2. Responsible Manager: Indicate who is responsible for organizing and carrying out the training.
  3. Resources: Specify the resources needed to carry out the training, such as training materials, space and equipment.
  4. People to be trained: Choose which employees to participate in the training, based on their existing skills and training needs.
  5. Deadline: Set a date for when the training will be completed.
  6. Status: Specify the current status of the training, such as planned, ongoing, or completed.
  7. Log completed: After the training has been completed, record the date and any comments on how the training went.
  8. Evaluation: Describe how the effectiveness of training should be evaluated, for example by measuring changes in skill levels or job performance.
  9. Date Evaluation: Enter a date for when the evaluation was conducted.
  10. Comments: Please add any additional comments about the training and its implementation.
  11. Outcome evaluation: After the evaluation is completed, record the results and any actions that need to be taken to improve future training efforts.

Conclusion

By using training plans, you can ensure that skills development takes place in a structured and efficient way, helping your organization meet the requirements of ISO standards and continuously improve its performance.
